Additional Comments: These are the confederate soldiers that died at Camp Randall Prison during the civil war. Camp Randall was in Madison, Dane CO., WI., and is the current site of Camp Randall football stadium. Most if not all of the prisoners died of disease. They are buried in Forest Hill cemetery in a special section that was maintained by Alice WHITING WATERMAN who secured the markers and tended the graves until her death in 1897. She was buried with them upon her death.
