Sorenson, William M. "Wink" 

MADISON - William M. "Wink" Sorenson, age 85, of Madison,
passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at Belmont Nursing Home.
He was born June 27, 1920, in Madison, the son of R.W. and
Mable (Johnson) Sorenson. He attended Madison East High and
served in U.S. Army during World War II in the European
Theatre. Wink earned two purple hearts, a bronze star, and
several other service medals. Following his service in the
Army, he married Gwen Glynn on Nov. 10, 1945, in Madison. Wink
worked for 39 years at Ohio Chemical and part-time for Pepsi
for 42 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and
fishing. Wink is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gwen; four
children, Bill (Sharon) Sorenson of Madison, Tom (Julie)
Sorenson of Madison, Janice (Terry) Havens of Waterloo and
Nancy (Jerry) Gust of Cottage Grove; nine grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob (Shirley) Sorenson of
Madison; and two sisters, Donna Sorenson of Madison and Elaine
Dutcher of Stoughton. He was preceded in death by his parents;
four sisters; and his favorite dog, Mickey. A celebration of
Wink's life will be held at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL,
4058 Lien Road, Madison, on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at 1 p.m.
with the Rev. Bradley Homan officiating with full military
honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from
noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials
