MADISON - Margaret M. Cimino, age 85, a lifelong Madison resident, died on Saturday, May 8, 2004. She was born on April 17, 1919, the daughter of Jeremiah and Julia (Muldowney) O'Brien. She graduated from Madison East High School, then attended Madison Business College. Margaret was united in marriage to Michael J. Cimino, he preceded her in death in 1978. Margaret worked for Ward-Brodt Music Co. more than 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Margaret loved playing cards, fishing, singing, and dancing. She belonged to the Sweet Adeline's choral group. Most of all she enjoyed spending her time with her family. Family gatherings were very important to her. She will be missed by her family and friends including her daughter, Maida (Wally) Schutz of DeForest; her son, Dan Cimino of Madison; her grandchildren, Scott Schutz of Houston, Texas, Robin (Jeff) Kaltenberg of DeForest, Jennifer Schutz of DeForest, Jessica (Brian) Wagner of Madison, and Erin Lynn Cimino of Madison; and her great-grandchildren, Brandi Jo, Cody and Tanya Kaltenberg, and Alexis Brown and Michael McFarlane. She is further survived by her brother, Eugene "Joe" (Bette) O'Brien; her sisters, Eileen Eaton and Patricia Sporle; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Thomas Cimino and Michael Cimino; and her sisters, Coleen O'Brien and Elizabeth O'Brien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 11 a.m. at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., with Monsignor Mike Hippee presiding. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, with a scripture service at 4 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Meriter Hospital ICU and Chaplin Staff for all the care they have shown Margaret. Mom, you are loved and will be missed by all the lives you have touched.
