Died 01 Nov 2003 in Madison, Dane Co., Wi. Dau of Benedetto and Vincenza (TRELONGA) DiSALVO Married John Charles CUCCIA on 10 Sep 1938 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Madison, Dane Co., Wi. Cuccia,, Anne Estelle MADISON - Anne Cuccia, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. She was born on Aug. 9, 1917, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Benedetto and Vincenza DiSalvo. She was united in marriage to John Cuccia on Sept. 10, 1938, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She spent her life giving her time and love to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her door was always open to anyone who stopped by and everyone was welcome in her home. Anne is survived by her son, Rev. Salvatore Cuccia; and her daughters and their husbands, Laura and Dean Collins, and Vincy Cuccia and Mark Deur. Anne is further survived by her grandchildren Laurean and Tom Butcher, John and Julie Collins, David and Jennifer Walford; great grandchildren Jarrett, Ethan and John Butcher; her brother, Ralph; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her brothers, Cosmo, Sam, Tom, Joe; and longtime friend Reva Moss. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Olson and Dr. Tom McFarlane and all those who contributed to the compassionate care that Anne received. A Mass of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1905 W. Beltline Highway. Her son, Rev. Salvatore Cuccia will officiate. A wake service will be held Monday Nov. 3, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME. On the day of service, Tuesday Nov. 4, 2003, a prayer service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME at 10 a.m., followed by a committal service at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, Inc. 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, Wis. 53711. "Many are the women of proven worth, but she has excelled them all."
