Cuccia, Rose E. WATERTOWN - Rose E. Cuccia, age 94, a resident at Beverly Terrace, Watertown, for a number of years. passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Watertown Memorial Hospital. She was born on Dec. 2, 1909, in Madison, the daughter of Joseph and Angela (nee Greco) LaBella. She married Sam Cuccia on June 21, 1930, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Madison. She had been employed at the former Glenn Manufacturing in Watertown, and did alterations at the former Klines Department Store in Watertown. Rose was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She is survived by two sons, John (Marilyn) Cuccia of Lady Lake, Fla., and Joe (Dorothy) Cuccia of Watertown; a sister, Kathryn Coronna of Madison; a brother, Ernest (Josephine) LaBella of Madison; seven grandchildren, Julie (Peter) Watts, Jane (Rod) Thompson, James (Millaray) Cuccia, Teresa (Cary) Kawakami, Marie (Tim) Bodin, Laurie (Bryan) Oliver and Michael (Peg) Cuccia; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Cuccia on May 27, 1983; a sister, Mary Fiore; and two brothers, Joseph and Carl LaBella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Watertown. Father Bernard Rott of St. Henry Catholic Church will officiate. Entombment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Memorials are suggested to St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Watertown. Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown is in charge of arrangements. CUCCIA, SAM WATERTOWN- Sam Cuccia, age 78, of 811 Harvey Avenue, passed away on Friday, May 27, 1983, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Survivors include his wife, the former Rose La Bella; two sons, John (Marilyn) of Eden Prairie, Minnisota, and Joseph (Dorothy) of Watertown; seven grandchildrenl a great grandson; a sister, mrs. Laura Cuccia of Madison; three brothers, Joseph (ann), Charles (Verna), and Vito (Kathryn) all of Madiosn; and nieces, nephews and other relatives. H ewas preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy (Parisi) Cuccia, and a brother, Paul. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 30, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hafemeister funeral home in Watertown and at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Watertown. Entombment will be on Tuesday, May 31, 1983, at 10 a.m. at Ressurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison. Friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral home in Watertown of Sunda, May 29, 1983, from 3-8 p.m. and until the time of the service on Monday. There will be a parish rosary on Sunday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
