She was born on Nov. 29, 1911, in Madison, the daughter of John and Anna Lalley. She attended Central High School, and was a longtime member of St. Patrick and St. Raphael Church. Gen belonged to the Eagles Club and was an avid bowler, bingo and card player for many years. She retired from Wisconsin Life Insurance Company and Wisconsin Telephone Company. Genevieve is survived by three children, daughter, Judith (Ted) Sobek, Marshall, and sons, Robert (Beverly) Faust, Madison, and Richard (Jean) McSherry, Shiocton. She will be dearly missed by 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren; her sister, Ginny Thielke of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Gen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daniel and Irvin Lalley; sister-in-laws, Betty and Grace Lalley; her brother-in-law, Albert Thielke; nephews, John Lalley and John Thielke, niece, Bonnie Lalley; and other family and friends. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 E. Main St., Madison, followed by leaving in procession for interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the church. The family would like to extend special thank you to Sienna Crest Assisted Living, HospiceCare, Monsignor Raymond Klass during her last hours, and Dr. Alt for the special care to keep mom comfortable to the end.
