She was born June 11, 1945, in Minneapolis. She was the daughter of Roy and Lucy (Mcmillan) Drew. Pat was in the first graduating class of Regina High School. She attended Edgewood College in Madison, where she majored in art education. In the early part of her career she was an art teacher for the Edgewood campus school, and C.E.S.A. She also gave in home teaching and care for young children. She later worked for the Waisman Center and finished her career, in education as an administrator with the Wisconsin North Central Association. She was married to Kenneth Key and together they raised three children. Pat was a gifted artist, seamstress and craftsperson and gave of those talents to all family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ken of Madison; children, Ken Jr. (Melissa) of Madison, Suzette (Matt) Erickson of Naples, Fla., and Adam of Chicago; and sister, Maureen Mills of Minneapolis. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and dear friends, in particular Karen, Tina and Candy, who cared for her physically and spiritually. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ron Drew. Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, with Monsignor Kenneth J. Fiedler officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Don and Marilyn HospiceCare Center or UW Cancer Center. The family would like to thank all doctors and nurses who cared for her at the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center and the staff of HospiceCare.
