Mrs. Anna Fischer, of Iron Ridge, was called by death last Thursday, after having been ill for seven years, her illness having been caused by a paralytic stroke, and pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death. Mrs. Fischer, nee Anna Fischer, (error-should be Nell), was born on Dec. 15, 1863, in town Rubicon. On Jan. 7, 1886, she was united in marriage to William Fischer, who preceded her in death in 1914. After their marriage, they resided in Woodland for several months, then moving to Iron Ridge, where they resided up to the time of their death. Surviving the deceased are eight daughters: Mrs. Della Hansen, Mrs. Hilda Schilbauer, Mrs. Ella Just, Mrs. Esther Spinti, and Mrs. Leona Boulduan, all of Milwaukee: Mrs. Irene Mazur, and Mrs. Olga Brenner, of Chicago, and Miss Celena Fischer, at home. Two sisters: Mrs. Louis Voss of Horicon, and Mrs. Carl Trittan, of Woodland, and 15 grandchildren also survive. One daughter, Regina, preceded the mother in death three years ago. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the late home to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at Iron Ridge. The Rev. F. Zarling officiated, and preached an English and German service. The church choir sang a selection, and burial was held in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: F. A. Justman, William Krueger, August Rohde, Ed Quandt, Chas. Klick, and Herman Quandt.
