Column: ? Death of N. B. Porter. Mr. Nathan B.[Bradley] Porter, one of the oldest and highly esteemed citizens of the town of Trenton, died yesterday noon, aged about 75 years. Mr. Porter settled in Trenton in 1847, and his father, Joel Porter, settler there in 1845 and died in 1853 [correction, 1857]. Mr. N. B. Porter has not been in the best of health for some time, but his last illness was of short duration. His death will be deeply regretted by a host of friends. Porter, an old and highly respected resident of the town of Trenton, died last week Wednesday, Feb 3d, in his 75th year. The deceased settled in Trenton in 1847, and has resided there ever since. His funeral was held from the brick school house in Trenton last Saturday. [Nathan was the second child of Joel Porter and Betsey Porter and was born on 21 February 1817 in Tompkins County NY.
