This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Schwartz 15 July 2000 ==================================================================== PETER LAMMER, merchant tailor and dealer in ready-made clothing, hats and caps, Menomonie, born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, Nov. 3, 1831, came to the United States in 1854, and lived in the city of New York about seven years, where he worked at his trade. He was also a short time in Massachusetts and New Jersey. He went to Reed's Landing, Minn., in the Spring of 1861, and came to Menomonie in the Fall of the same year, and engaged in the business of merchant tailor.
