Ranum, druggist, of the firm of Ranum & Greer, Menomonie. Was born in Norway in 1847. He came to the United States in 1867, ived about one year in Chicago. Early in life Mr. RANUM turned his attention to the study of medicine, and was for a time a student of the University of Christiana. After leaving Chicago he resided in the eastern part of the State for the next two years; he then went to Minnesota and resided at Wells about four years, engaged in the drug business and in the study of medicine with Dr. G. W. Bark, of that place; thence to Stillwater, Minn., where he was engaged in the same business. Thence to St. Paul, where he was engaged with Noyes Brothers & Cutler till February 1878, when he came to Menomonie and engaged as clerk for Dr. George Tonnar.
