This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Nance Sampson 25 February 1999 ==================================================================== Rock Falls News Henry Falkner, 45, who was seriously injured Sunday morning while on his way to Lima church when his car skidded on the icy road and got out of control, striking a culvert with such force that the car was damaged beyond repair, is still at Pepin county hospital in serious condition. His three sons, Francis, Bobbie and Charles, were badly cut and bruised but are recovering nicely. Mrs. Falkner and three younger sons were at home at the time of the accident. Mrs. Laura McCart will entertain Rock Falls Ladies aid society at her home Thursday afternoon, April 9 (1942). Mrs. Melvin Everson will entertain Meridean Ladies Aid society at the church Friday, April 10, (1942). Alfred Jevne entered Luther hospital Saturday for medical treatment. Mrs. John Wade of Cadott spent a few days with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Turner. E. R.
