Frank Xavier Ihle was born in Wuertemberg, Germany, in 1837, and came to 
the city of Eau Claire, where he has lived since, as a carpenter and 
musician.  He served one term as a justice of the peace.  In 1860 he 
married Christine Roessler, who was born in 1849, in Polk county.  Of 
their thirteen children Frank is a druggist, John a traveling agent, Ed 
a dentist and Leo a farmer.
