William Jakob and his wife, Henriette Jakob, were both born at Rumelsburg, 
Germany.  Both came together to Eau Claire county in 1857 and settled on a 
farm in the town of Washington.  Their son Julius Ludwig Jakob still lives 
on the old farm, where he was born February 20, 1864, and is a member of the
district school board No. 7.
