SIGVALD A. QVALE, Eau Claire, was born in Haugesund, Norway, July 18, 1853, and came to America, July 4, 1868, locating in Rochester, Minn. In 1871, he went to St. Paul and Minneapolis, being engaged in mercantile pursuits in those places. In the Fall of 1872, he removed to Hudson, and was clerk and interpreter for the railway company there until 1878, when he went to Europe, and, returning to Minneapolis, became a real estate and loan agent. In May, 1881, he came to Eau Claire. He is still in real estate and loan business, and is agent for the sale of lands belonging to the Chicago, St. Paul & Minneapolis, & Omaha Railway Co. --Transcribed from "History of Northern Wisconsin," The Western Historical Company, A.
