Henry Christof Schwahn, born at Hohenholz, near Berlin, Germany, in 1846; 
came to this country in 1870, and settled in the city of Eau Claire.  He 
is in partnership with his brother, Frederich and they have run a fine meat 
market in the city since 1873.  In that same year he married Miss Sophia 
Rhodes, who was born in Baden, Germany, in 1840.  Mr. Schwahn is a member 
of the Knights of Pythias and the Odd Fellows.
