A. H. STEVENS, hides and pelts.  Born in Pleasant Valley, N. Y., in 1839;
came to Eau Claire in 1870, and began his present business being the first
to establish the trade.  Was married to Helen Blood, of Essex Co., N. Y., in
1866.  Have five children.  Mrs. Stevens died in 1880.
