L. E. Strum, Register of Deeds, Eau Claire.  Was born in Central Norway, 
March 1, 1851, and came from there to Wisconsin via Quebec, in 1869, 
locating in Pierce County.  After residing there three years, he came to 
Eau Claire, engaging in general work, and attending school for several 
years.  He taught school two years, and in the Fall of 1878, was elected 
Register of Deeds; he was re-elected in the Fall of 1880.
