Betz, 67, 321 West MacArthur Ave., died Sunday at Sacred Heart Hospital. Dorothy E. Fleming was born in Eau Claire where she married Frank E. Betz in 1944. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism. She was a longtime member of the Eau Claire Woman's Club and served as president in 1964. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, VFW Auxiliary Post 305 and Lois Circle of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include a nephew, Mark W. Fleming of Cleveland, Ohio; two nieces, Susan F. Downey and Barbara A. Retterer, both of Chicago; a sister- in-law, Anabel MacLaughlin of Eau Claire; and five great-nieces and great- nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Kilde Officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends may call an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church."
