Obituary of Lucile Betz (April 28, 1998 Eau Claire Leader-Telegram)

LUCILE BETZ

  "Lucile R. Betz passed away Saturday, April 25, after a brief illness.  
She was born in Eau Claire on Nov. 5, 1920, the daughter of Joseph G. and 
Bertha (Grosvold) Moe. She attended schools in Eau Claire. She married 
Kenneth F. Betz on May 18, 1941. Lucile was a long-time member of First 
Congregational Church, Luther Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, 
and as an avid golfer, a member of Lake Hallie Golf Course, which at one 
time was owned and operated by her mother.

  She is survived by her husband, and daughter, Sandra; a newphew; and 
special friends, Susan, Bob, Megan and Kyle Thompson.  At her request, 
there was no visitation, and a private family service was held Tuesday, 
April 28 (today), with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may 
be made to the donor's choice. Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home served the family."
