Submitted by: Kent Robarge 28 September 2003 ************************************************************************ Derge, Anna (Kneer) Obituary of Anna (Kneer) Derge in March 1, 1944 Eau Claire Leader (Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, WI) Mrs. Julius Derge Dies at Home Here Mrs. Julius Derge, 83, died at her home, 306 Oak Street, Monday evening after an illness of many years. Mrs. Derge was born September 22, 1860, and was a life long resident of this city, a daughter of the late Mathias Kneer, one of the early pioneers who came to Eau Claire in 1857. She was married to Julius Derge April 17, 1879. She is survived by three sons, Julius F. of New York City, Mathias of Warren, Ohio and Frank E. of Eau Claire; one sister, Mrs. J.J. Auer of this city; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Private services will be held at Stokes and Sons Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. George H. Vollmer officiating.
