Obituary of Ellsworth Gorton in Eau Claire Leader-Telegram (Oct. 3, 1996)

 Ellsworth E. Gorton, 80, 1815 Benton Ave., Eau Claire, passed away Tuesday, 
Oct. 1, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

 Ellsworth was born June 2, 1916, to Walter and Merle Gorton. He married 
Doris Derge May 6, 1947, in Eau Claire. He was a veteran of World War II 
and a member of VFW Post #305.

 Ellsworth worked for many years at the McDonald franchise and currently 
was with the G.G. Sweet Company.

 Ellsworth is survived by his wife, Doris, a daughter, Sandra (Dennis) 
Bauer, of Eau Claire, a son, Dave (Kathy) Gorton of Eau Claire, three 
grandchildren, Melissa Bauer, Tracie (Dean) Hendrickson and Jesse Bauer, 
two brothers, Lee (Myrt) Gorton of Eau Claire and Lyle Gorton of Colorado, 
two sisters, Norma (Bud) Harrington and Bernice (Marvin) lee, both of Eau 
Claire.

 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. friday, Oct. 4 at Fuller-Speckien 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Sahs of Our Savior's Lutheran Church 
officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire.

 Friends may call an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
