This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Kathy Blomquist 30 March 2000 ==================================================================== David Kirscher was born in Jefferson County, NY, Nov. 13, 1844 and died at the Luther Hospital, Oct. 9 (1923, 1924, 1925 or 1926) and was laid to rest Oct. 12. Funeral services were held from the home of his son, William on Grand Ave. W., where he had made his home for the last eight years. Rev. Goodell of the Lake Street Methodist church officiated. Mr. Kirscher's wife (Calista) and two children preceded him in death. He is survived by three sisters, a brother, a son and four grandchildren. Those who came from out of town to attend the service were his brother, George Kirscher of Minneapolis; Dr. A. L. Bents, a nephew of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Strader, Gordon Strader, Mrs. Harold Langworthy, from Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Cronk, Mr. and Mrs. Cronk, Mrs. Eliza Cronk, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cronk, Ernest Cronk, Archie Cronk, Miss Angle Cronk, of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. J. W. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartzell, from Menomonie. Interment was at the Augusta cemetery. Services at the grave were in charge of Rev. Kneen of the Augusta M. E. church.
