Kneer, Sophie (Polus)

Obituary of Sophie (Polus) Kneer in Eau Claire Leader-Telegram (June 5, 
1979)

 Sophie V. Kneer, 86, 623 Fall St., died Monday at Sacred Heart Hospital.

 Sophie Polus was born in Dresbach, Minn., and married John Kneer on Nov. 
19, 1912, in Fairchild.

 Survivors include three daughters, Sister M. Geneva, F.S.P.A., LaCrosse, 
Mrs. Everett Eades, St. Louis Park, Minn., Mrs. Robert Taylor, Minneapolis; 
two sons, Bernard, Joseph, both of Eau Claire; a sister, Mary Letcher, Eau 
Claire; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

 Services are at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home and at noon at 
Sacred Heart Church, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

 Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until services Thursday at the 
funeral home. Ladies of Sacred Heart Parish will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. 
Wednesday. A public rosary will be said at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the 
funeral home.
