Leinenkugel in October 29, 1973 Eau Claire Leader- Telegram (Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, WI) M. Leinenkugel Mathias J. Leinenkugel, 82, of 428 Roosevelt Ave., died Sunday afternoon at Luther Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1891, in Eau Claire and lived here all his life. He was in the banking business from 1910 until he became clinic manager for Midelfort Clinic in 1927. He retired from the clinic in 1957. He was a member of the Eau Claire School Board, 1926 to 1931, and president of the Board of Eau Claire Lodge 112 F&AM, Eau Claire Chapter 36 RAM, and the Eau Claire Scottish Right Oddies. He was also a member of the Eau Claire Kiwanis Club for 35 years and served as president in 1935 and as Lieutenant Governor of District 16 in 1956. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, Eau Claire; one son, Charles, Overland Park, Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth F. Lange, Eau Claire; one stepson, Milo Scheuerman, Minneapolis, Minn.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Stokes and Sons Chapel with the Very Rev. Gordon E. Brant officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Tuesday after 4 p.m. and Wednesday until services.
