Benedict Kohlman, son of John George and Maria Katharine Gerhard Kollmann,
was born on November 14, 1832 in Kämmerzell (Fulda), Hesse-Kassel, Germany.
He married Victoria Sippel on September 15, 1859 at St. Mary Church,
Nassau, Rensselaer County NY.  He died on August 27, 1905 in Mt. Calvary
WI.  He was survived by his wife; seven sons: Frank (Mary Dreifuerst),
Charles (Johanna Kempf), Martin (Paulina Kempf), Joseph (Mary Zenner), John
(Theresa Schaefer), Ferdinand (Rosina Kempf), Anthony (Clara Enders) and
his daughter, Katharine (Mrs. August Blank).  He was preceded in death by
his sons, Richard and Benedict; his brothers: Pierce Coleman (Caroline
Rühl) of Sandlake Township, Rensselaer County NY; and Anton, Karl and Titus
Kollmann of Rückers (north of Fulda), Hesse-Kassel, Germany.  His brother,
Franz Kollmann of Germany, may have survived him.
