Helen Sippel was the daughter of Abraham Peter and Louisa Smith Van
Alstyne.  She was born in Columbia County NY on December 2, 1842.  She
married Felix Sippel on September 18, 1864 in Hudson NY.  Felix died on
July 23, 1907 in Mt. Calvary WI. Helen died there on December 3, 1917.  One
son: William Benedict (Apollonia Frances Kempf); and three daughters:  Lucy
(Sr. M. Felicina, SSND), Anna Catherine (Mrs. Charles Todd), and Gertrude
(Mrs. Roman O’Brien) survived.  Her parents and two children, Francis and
Anna Maria preceded her in death.
