Union St. after a year of failing health and two months serious illness. Born on Oct 31, 1846 in Germany. Immigrated 1851. Farmer until 1871 after which he joined his brothers Frank and Adolph in the brewing business. Vice president of Bechaud Brewing. Member of the Masons, Elks, Eagles, and National Union. Served on the Fond du Lac Common Council and School Board. Funeral plans found in "Daily Commonwealth" Friday April 21, 1922: Held at Masonic Temple at 2 p.m. Sunday. Body in state from 10:30 a.m. Burial at Rienzi Cemetery. Survivors: Widow, Mary (daughter of Mathias and Mary Ann Petri Kraemer), three daughters and three sons: Mrs. Josephine Nelson, Mrs. Ida Boudry, Mrs. Amelia Kolb, and Rudoph, all of Fond du Lac; and Louis and Armand of Chicago.
