Crain, in the town of Eldorado. Mrs. Blewett was one of the oldest settlers in the town, having lived there fifty years. She was a woman highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. M.L. Crain, of the town of Eldorado, and Mrs. K. Monahan of South Sioux City, Ia.; and one son, John Blewett of Sioux City, Ia. The funeral will be held from the residence in the town of Eldorado. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Daily Commonwealth June 17, 1912 The funeral of Mrs. Mary Blewett, one of the pioneer residents of the town of Eldorado, was held at 9:30 o'clock this morning from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M.L. Crain in the town of Eldorado and at 10 o'clock from St. Mary's church, Rev. Father Corbinian officiating. The services consisted of a solemn requiem mass and the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. T.J. Cosgrove, of this city. The services were very largely attended there being in the neighborhood of 125 carriage in the procession which escorted the remains from the house to the church. The bearers were James and Martin Nolan, George Kitchen, Bernard Finnegan, James Cushin, and James O'Shea. Mrs. K. Monahan, of Sioux City, Ia., a daughter of the deceased and John Blewett, of South Sioux City Ia., a son came home to be present at the funeral. Interment was at the cemetery adjoining the church.
