Here Fifty Years

Mrs. Johanna Buckless, Pioneer Resident of City, Passes Away at Age of 78
Years

Mrs. Johanna Buckless, a resident of Fond du Lac city for fifty years, died
at 2:50 o'clock this morning at the family residence, 235 Fourth street, at
the age of 78 years.  Mrs. Buckless has been ill for a year.  She was born
in County Tipperary, Ireland, in February, 1834, and came to this country
when seven years of age.  She was married to John Buckless in 1852 at Port
Washington, Wis. Mr. Buckless died in 1897.

Surviving Mrs. Buckless leaves six children.  They are Thomas and William
Buckless, of this city; Mrs. Thomas Keenan of Green Lake; Mrs. Edward
Cayton, of Minneapolis; Mrs. John Sharkey, of Racine; and Mrs. F.H. Quimby,
of California.

The funeral, the hour for which will be announced later, will be held
Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's church.
