Resident of Johnsburg Expires Early This Morning After Long Illness. FUNERAL ON WEDNESDAY. Christ Casper, age 73 years, died at 1:10 a.m. today at his home in Johnsburg after four months illness. Born at Malone on April 15, 1852, he had resided at Johnsburg the greater part of his life. With Mrs. Eva Casper, who survives him, he celebrated his golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 28, 1924. Other relatives who survive are four daughters, Mrs. Anton Vogds of St. Cloud, Mrs. Carl Freund of this city, Mrs. Peter Wilberscheid of Sheboygan, and Miss Margaret Casper at home; six sons, Peter, Joseph and William of Johnsburg, John and Matt of Marytown, and Tony Casper of Empire; 27 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joe Abler of Mt. Calvary, and two brothers, Nick Casper of Johnsburg and Peter Casper of Marytown. Funeral services will be conducted at Johnsburg at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Fond du Lac Daily Commonwealth 8/17/1925 DEATH CLAIMS CHRIST CASPER AT JOHNSBURG. Deceased Has Been Ill for Four Months. Christ Casper, seventy-three years old, died at 1:10 this morning at his home at Johnsburg. He had been ill for the past four months. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning at the Johnsburg Church and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Besides his wife, Eva, Mr. Casper leaves four daughters, Mrs. Anton Vogds, St. Cloud, Mrs. Carl Freund, this city, Mrs. Peter Wilberscheid, Sheboygan, and Margaret, at home; six sons, Peter, Joseph and William, of Johnsburg, John and Matt, Marytown, and Tony, of Empire; twenty-seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Joseph Abler, Mt. Calvary; and two brothers, Nicholas, of Johnsburg, and Peter, of Marytown. Mr. Casper was born at Malone April 15, 1852 and had been a resident of Johnsburg all his life. He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding on Oct. 28, 1924. Fond du Lac Commonwealth, Saturday, 8/22/1925 A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral of Christ Casper, which was held Wednesday morning at the Johnsburg Church. The Rev. Fr. Toeller officiated and burial was in the adjoining cemetery. The bearers were two granadsons, Alex Miller and Frank Cooper, and four nephews, Gregory and William Abler, Gregory and Martin Casper. Many were present from this city and from about the county as well as the following from more distant points: Mrs. Ruplinger and daughter, Marie, and Gilbert Miller, of Milwaukee; Tony and Bonita Miller, of Sherwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wilberscheid, of Sheboygan. Mr. Casper died last Monday morning at his home at Johnsburg. Additional Comments: Christian Casper was the son of Mathias and Anna Marie Schmitz Casper.
