CALVARY EXPIRES AT 81. Anton Petrie, Former Town Chairman of Marshfield, Dies at Home. Funeral services for Anton Petrie, 81, a retired farmer and Town of Marshfield chairman for many years, who died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home at Mt. Calvary, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the residence and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross church, Mt. Calvary, with burial in the church cemetery. He was born Dec. 25, 1866 in the Town of Marshfield and was married Nov. 18, 1890, to Mary Abler in Holy Cross church. Mrs. Petrie died Nov. 17, 1940. Mr. Petrie, who served as an insurance officer for a number of years, was a member of the Holy Name society and the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Frank Olig and Urban of Mt. Calvary, Rudolph of Johnsburg, Mrs. Frank Schmitz of Marytown and Roman, Alex, Alfred and Mrs. Oscar Stephany of St. Joe. 36 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Bernard Petrie. A son, Anthony, and two daughters preceded Mr. Petrie in death. Additional Comments: Anton Petrie was the son of Anton and Anna Katherine Braun Petri.
