WIFE FOLLOWS SPOUSE IN DEATH.
Mrs. Gertrude Sippel Dead at Mt. Calvary.
REACHED THE AGE OF 83.

Mrs. Gertrude Sippel, aged 83 years, died at 1:15 o’clock this morning at
her home in Mt. Calvary.  Mrs. Sippel had been a sufferer from heart
disease for some time.  Her husband, Ferdinand Sippel, died Feb. 12,
following an hour’s illness.  She was born Oct. 18, 1840, in Germany and
came to this country when a young girl.  She leaves two daughters, Mrs.
Fred Bluel, of Mt. Calvary; Mrs. Theodore Horsch of St. Cloud; five sons,
George and Anton, of St. Cloud; John of Plymouth; Charles of Mt. Calvary
and Adam, of West Allis.  She also leaves 43 grandchildren and 42 great
grandchildren.  The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning
from the Holy Cross Church at Mt. Calvary, and burial will be in the
adjoining cemetery.

WOMAN EXPIRES AT MT. CALVARY.
Mrs. Gertrude Sippel, 83 Years Old, Dies From Old Age Complications.
HOLD FUNERAL SATURDAY.

Mrs. Gertrude Sippel, 83 years old, died from complications due to old age
at her home in Mt. Calvary early this morning.  Her husband died several
weeks ago at an advanced age.  Mrs. Sippel was born in Germany, July 2,
1840.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Bleuel, Mt. Calvary, and
Mrs. Theodore Horsch, St. Cloud; also five sons, George and Hanson, St.
Cloud; Gerald, Mt. Calvary; John, Plymouth, and Andrew, West Allis; 41
grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held
Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Holy Cross church and burial will be in the
adjoining cemetery.


Additional Comments:
Gertrude Hahner was born on July 2, 1840 probably in Rückers (north of
Fulda), Hesse-Kassel, Germany.  She married Ferdinand Sippel on April 21,
1861 at St. Mary’s Church, Nassau, Rensselaer County NY. She died on March
1, 1923.  Her husband died on February 13, 1923. She was also preceded in
death by two sons: Joseph and Frank; and a daughter, Anna Maria.
