She had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank X. Koch, at 427 Lexington ave., NW., for the last 15 years. The deceased had been a resident of Grand Rapids for the last 80 years and was the oldest member of the Altar society of St. Mary’s church and of St. Mary’s parish. Surviving are a son, John Sippel of Cadillac; two daughters, Mrs. Frank X. Koch of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Mason C. Hall of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Sippel reposes at the Alt mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock in St. Mary’s church. Interment in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Additional Comments: Magdalena Sippel was the daughter of George and Catherine Weber. She married Vincent Sippel in Albany NY in 1866. He died on May 16, 1927. She died on January 2, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters: Anna, Anna Margaret (Mrs. Michael Peters), Lucy Amalia (Mrs. Anthony Hammerschmidt); and two sons: Joseph and Francis (Mary Cowell).
