Thomas Kelly, one of the pioneer stock buyers of Fond du Lac county died at his home on third street this morning at 6:30 o'clock at the age of 64 years. He leaves a wife, Sarah Cushin Kelly, a brother Patrick of London, England, and a sister, Mrs. John Daley, of Empire. Mr. Kelly was born July 12, 1848 in Dungannon County, Ireland, and came to the United States in 1868 when twenty years of age, locating in this city. He at once engaged in the livestock business and made this his occupation until 1910 when he retired. He was married in 1876, to Sarah Cushin of Eldorado. Four years ago Mr. Kelly made a trip to Europe. Since his return he has been in failing health. Mr. Kelly was one of the pioneer stock buyers of the county and in the days of his early residence here drove cattle to Green Bay and Superior on foot. He was an earnest worker and was regarded as one of the best judges of livestock in the county. He was a man who was devoted to his home and family. The funeral will be held Friday morning from St. Patrick' church.
