Mrs. James Kennedy, aged 84 years a pioneer resident of Fond du Lac and Manitowoc counties, died at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of her son, J.P. Kennedy, at Rockford, Ill. The remains will arrive in this city at 6 o'clock this evening and will be taken to the home of Thomas Butler on East First street. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning from St. Joseph's church. Interment will follow at Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy lived in the town of Eden for about thirty years, and for some time up until a year ago made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Butler, in this city. She leaves two sons, J.P. Kennedy, of Rockford; John of Portland, Ore., and one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Butler, of this city. She also leaves one brother, John Welch, of Chicago. Daily Commonwealth, May 30, 1912 Kennedy- The funeral of Mrs. James Kennedy, who dies Tuesday evening at the home of her son, J.P. Kennedy at Rockford, Ill., was held at 9 o'clock this morning at St. Joseph's church, Rev. Fr. Shanahan officiating. The bearers were J. Keenan, T.J. Kelly, D.F. Blewett, J. Finnegan, John Kelly and J.J. Ryder. The remains on reaching this city at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon were taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Butler, 245 East First street. Interment was at Calvary cemetery.
