Obituary: Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin: Arling PARSONS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Commonwealth, May 27, 1912 Little Boy Buried Schoolmates of Arling Parsons Pay Tribute of Youthful Friendliness- Flowers Were Beautiful The funeral of Arling Parson, the little school boy killed last week when struck by a North Western passenger train, was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the residence, 26 South Waupun street, Rev. Walter A. Hall officiating. The services were held in the presence of a large assemblage of friends of the family, and a large gathering of school children who attended Union school and who played with Arling Parsons. The floral display was of exceptional beauty and extent. The gifts from the little boy's playmates were particularly touching, and the kindnesses shown by the teachers of Union school were many. Ten little boys acted as bearers. They were: Charles Schleger, Robert Parker, Howard Boyle, Wallace Dennert, Benjamin Sadoff, Bernard Brehmer, Frank Hick, Carl Buehner, Edward Schulz and Walter Linde. Interment too place at Rienzl cemetery.
