William Ross, aged 81 years, died at 2 o'clock this morning at his home, 226 West Cotton street. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Oliver Wilson, of Green Bay, and Mrs. Peter Caffery, of this city; and one grandson, William Caffery. William Ross was born in Germany January 30, 1821, and came to this county in 1849, settling at Athens, Pa. He was married in 1852 and came to Wisconsin at that time. He was ordained deacon of the M.E. church in 1870 by Bishop Simpson and taught school in Wisconsin for twenty-three years. Friends are requested to omit flowers. The funeral of Rev. William Ross will be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from the residence, 226 West Cotton street, Rev. A.H. Kopplin and Rev. Anton Hatlestad officiating. Interment will be in Eastabrook cemetery.
