Whalen- John E. Whalen, aged 28 years, a former resident of this city, died
at 5 o'clock this morning at Milwaukee.  The remains will arrive in this
city at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and will be removed to the Zacherl
chapel, where they will be held until 9 o'clock Friday morning.  Services
will be held at that hour at St. Joseph's church.  Interment will be at
Calvary cemetery.  The deceased is survived by a wife.  He learned the
undertaking business with L.G. Zacherl in this city.
