Marriage: Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin: Barr-Miller ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Commonwealth June 10, 1912 Wed on June 8 The wedding of Edward Balch Barr of Marshfield, Wis., formerly of this city, and Miss Jennie Miller of Brandon, Wis., was solemnized at noon Saturday, June 8. Rev. Edward H. Smith, pastor of the First Congregational church of this city, pronounced the ceremony. The groom was attended by Seymour B. Heymann of this city as best man, and Miss Eileen Miller, a sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid. Mr. Barr is well known in this city and was employed for several years on the Daily Northwestern staff after leaving the Oshkosh Normal school. Then he went on an exploring trip to Hudson Bay and later to Newfoundland. On his return he joined the Lyceum bureau and gave lectures about his tip, showing lantern slides from photographs which he took while traveling and which excellently illustrated his talk. He is now with the Marshfield News at Marshfield, Wis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Miller of Brandon - Oshkosh Northwestern. Mr. Barr will be kindly remembered by many in this city who enjoyed his travel talks which he gave at Grafton Hall.
