Photo of Effie M. (Starks) Irish-Zahringer taken about 1899.  Effie was the 
daughter of Chester O. Starks and Martha (Eastman) Starks born 1872 in 
Freemont, Waupaca County, WI.  She moved to Langlade County with her parents 
prior to 1880.  She married Henry W. Irish in 1888 and they divorced in 1899.  
Henry and Effie had two children; Myrtle G. & Chester J. Irish.  Effie was 
married to Matthew Zahringer in 1899 and moved to Laona, WI where she lived 
until her death in 1941.
