O. Lancaster; is one of the many respected citizens of Grant Co., Wis. ; ho was born in 1809 in Ireland ; he was a son of Martin and Bridget McCormick, of Ireland, with whom he lived until 21 years of age, arid, in 1832, came to America, locating at Toronto, Can., for a short time, thence to New York for two years; he then wended his way westward to the city of Chicago, where he lived for one year; thence to Galena, Ill., for fifteen years, and followed mining; he then came to Liberty, Grant Co., where he has lived since. He was married, in 1839, to Alice Nailas, a daughter of Feral and Alice Nailas; they have eleven children - Martin, Bridget, John, Frank, James, Catharine, Mary Ann, Alice, Barnard, Margaret, William; he is the owner of 480 acres of land, valued at $9,600. Has been Road Overseer four terms; School Clerk three terms. Politics, Democratic, and a member of the Catholic Church.
