Lancaster; was born in 1852, in Trumbull Co., Ohio. He was a son of’ Noses and Tracy Bowen. He came to Grant Co., Wis., in 1855, in company with his father; located in Liberty; lived with his parents until he was 18 years of age. He was married, in 1875, to Miss Sylia Gleason, a daughter of A. S. Gleason; but, in 1878, was divorced. He is the owner of 80 acres of land, valued at $1,000. His politics are Republican.
