Fairview; owns 260 acres of land, valued at $50 per acre; born in Cornwall, England, in 1832; came to America in 1847, and located in Hazel Green; settled on his present farm in 1876. In 1859, he married Mary Ann Lukey; she also was born in Cornwall, England; they have eleven children – Francis, William, Thomas, Mary, Emma, James, Isabella, Olive, Charles, Walter and Susan Ann.
