Potosi; born in Ireland in 1826, and came over in 1848; was in Pennsylvania one year, then went to Clinton a short time, and to this place in 1853. Owns 154 acres of land; son of Barnard and Ann (McGirk) McGirk. In 1855, married Ann L., daughter of Daniel and Mary (Ryan) Winslow; have four children living -- James A., Catherine E., Joseph L., Mary Ann.
