O. Bloomington; owns 160 acres of land, valued at $45 per acre. Born in Germany in 1838; came to America in 1854, and settled in this county; in 1868, he located on his present farm. Married Mary A. Miller, a native of Ohio; they have two children - Albert and William. In 1861, Mr. S. enlisted in Co. M, 4th Mo. V. C., and was discharged in 1864.
