Lancaster; was born in Germany in 1815; came to America in 1833, and settled in Pennsylvania. Married Mrs. Bagler in Ohio; came to Wisconsin in 1847; settled in Benton, La Fayette Co., and followed the shoemaker’s trade; moved to Grant Co. in 1857, and commenced farming, where he has since lived. Is a member of the M. B. Church; has three children - William, Henry and Louisa. He is a Republican in politics.
