TUCKER, blacksmith, Montfort; born at Quincy, Ill., Jan. 1, 1832; came to Wisconsin in 1837, and settled in Grant Co., but the family returned to Illinois the following year, where his father died; his mother and family returned soon after the death of his father, and settled in the town of Lima, Grant Co.; his mother died in 1846. She was married, after the death of Mr. Tucker, to Mr. Boshford; she had five children by first marriage and two children by second marriage. Mr. Samuel T. Tucker was married to Frances R. Hamilton; they have eight children, two sons and six daughters. Mr. Tucker came to Montfort in October, 1853.
