He was married on June 24, 1882, to Miss. Mary E. Wooden of Marquette, Iowa. He leaves to mourn his wife and nine children: William of Nashua, Iowa; Ed. of Morristown, Minn.; Mrs. Mary M. Burch of Forest Grove, Oregon; Frank of Chicago, IL; Mrs. Gertrude Strinsky, Tacoma Wash.; Louis of Marion, Wis.; Alfred of Werley; Mrs. Eugenia Johnson of Dodgeville; Mrs. Florence Whitish, Liberty; 16 grandchildren, also three brothers and three sisters: Alex of Fennimore Township, Joseph of Archer, Mont. Peter of Antelope, Montana; Mrs. Catherine Molzof of Preston, Mrs. Mary Drats of Fennimore, Mrs. Anna Townsend of Alma Center, Wis. He passed away at his home in Fennimore on June 8, 1936. He lived nearly all his life in Grant Co.
