Hope, died at her home Sunday morning, July 24, 1898 of consumption, at the age of 53 years and 6 months. The deceased was born in Greenville, Penn., January 27, 1845. When four years of age her parents moved to Wisconsin, but returned again to her native state a few years later, where she united in marriage to Mr. George McClimans. They resided in their Pennsylvania home sixteen years, and then moved to this state, making their home in the vicinity of Fennimore. All who knew her to be a pious and devoted Christian. She was a member of the U.B. church of this city, and a woman who as soon as you met, you felt you had made the acquaintance of a friend. She was a domestic woman in its broadest sense, derating, seemingly, all her powers upon the good of her family. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three sons, Reuben, Bert and George, three brothers, Henry, Robert and John McLimans, of this city, and two sisters, Elizabeth, of Kansas, and Mrs. Harriet Kinney, of Curlew, IA. The funeral took place yesterday morning at 11 o'clock from the U.B. church, Rev. Harman conducting the services. At the request of the bereaved ones, thanks are extended to the kind friends and neighbors who so sympathizingly rendered help during the long sickness and death.
